| Prize distribution of the Raffle draw – 11th August 2012 |
The prize distribution of the Raffle draw was held on the 11th August 2012 in the conference room of Royal College. It was a simple ceremony with the prize winners and a few donors of the prizes along with some committee members participating. The winners of the first and fifth prizes were unable to be present on that day. The second, third and fourth prize winners Mrs. P Mendis, Mr. Nirodha Gallage and Mrs. Rani Wimaladhrma were present to receive their prizes. We are thankful to Mr. Megha Kularatne an old boy of Royal College /Director of Marga Engineering who represented his father Mr. M.G. Kularatne Chairman/ Managing Director of Marga Engineering for being present in person to hand over their prize to the third prize winner(a colour television set)
The 1st, 4th and the 10thconsolation prize winners were not present on this day. The rest of the prizes were handed over to their winners by some members of the committee. The 7th consolation prize winner Dr. H.N. Rajaratnam and old boy of Royal College spoke on behalf of the winners. He said he was happy to be present on this occasion at his old school which moulded him to be what he is today. He thanked the past teachers for the effort they are taking on behalf of their members. Dr. Henry N. Rajaratnam a consultant Physician and Endocrinologist said he will be very glad to offer free consultation to our members at three hospitals where he will be available at 7.00am. Those who are interested can call him on 0112587131 and fix an appointment with him. The 3rd consolation prize winner Master Usitha Ratnayake 2⅟2 yrs. old received his prize from his grandfather Mr. Heras Fernando a member of the RCPTA. Mrs. Kusum Wickramaratne a member of our association who was present to receive the 5th consolation prize on behalf of her daughter- in- law also spoke on the occasion.
Arrangements will be made to hand over the prizes to the absentees in due course.
